In May 2026, we had the pleasure of hosting participants from the EcoVogue Erasmus+ project here in Bratislava as part of the first EcoVogue International STEAM and Fashion Festival. The four-day mobility (4–7 May 2026) brought together students, educators, and project partners for a programme centred on sustainable fashion, STEAM education, and international collaboration, with Vienna as the main base and Bratislava as a special one-day destination.
EcoVogue is an Erasmus+ project (KA220-SCH) that ADI is proud to be part of as a partner organisation. The project connects science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics with sustainable fashion, using hands-on creative learning to make these topics more accessible and inspiring, particularly for young girls. Seeing that vision come to life in an international mobility was a highlight for our team.
The mobility began in Vienna with welcome and introductory sessions, where participants from different countries had the chance to meet, share expectations, and learn more about the EcoVogue project. The programme combined workshops, field visits, and practical activities with plenty of space for discussion and peer exchange.
One of the standout visits was to the Waste Incineration Plant Pfaffenau in Vienna, where participants learned about waste treatment, energy recovery, and environmental responsibility. The visit brought the project’s sustainability focus into real-world context, helping students connect the dots between everyday consumption habits, waste, and climate impact.
The highlight for us was the one-day trip to Bratislava, where ADI had the opportunity to welcome the group and show them our city. Participants visited Aurelium, Bratislava’s interactive science centre, where they explored STEAM concepts through hands-on installations and experiments in an informal, engaging setting. It was exactly the kind of learning experience that the EcoVogue project stands for: curious, creative, and connected to real-world challenges.
The week concluded with the EcoVogue student fashion show in Vienna, where participants presented their sustainable fashion ideas, recycled-material creations, and group projects developed throughout the mobility. The show was a celebration of everything the students had learned and created, a powerful demonstration of what becomes possible when fashion meets sustainability and STEAM thinking.
As a partner in the EcoVogue project, ADI is committed to supporting young people in developing the knowledge, creativity, and confidence to engage with sustainability challenges, whether through fashion, science, or design. We look forward to continuing this work in the months ahead.
