The project, Fashioning a Sustainable Tomorrow: STE(A)Ming Against Climate Change (2024-1-ES01-KA220-SCH-000248664), aims to encourage girls to increase their involvement in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) through the lens of fashion. The goal is to inspire girls to explore the world of STEAM by connecting it to fashion, fostering an interest in STEAM careers. Fashion provides an accessible, creative, and hands-on approach to learning that can engage girls in STEAM fields.
Fashion was chosen as the focal point for this initiative because it is a major contributor to environmental pollution and climate change. By addressing fashion’s impact, the project will introduce girls to key STEAM disciplines, such as material science, engineering, chemistry, mathematics, art and design, and physics. This approach not only enhances their knowledge but also exposes them to a wide range of career opportunities within these fields.
